To apply for Canadian Citizenship, a candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Be a Permanent Resident of Canada.
- Have resided in Canada for 3 out of the last 5 years*.
- Have filed a tax return.
- Prove language skills.
- Pass a citizenship test (all applicants between 18 to 54 years of age).
* Each day spent physically in Canada as a temporary resident or protected person before becoming a permanent resident within the last five years will count as one half-day, with a maximum of 365 days, towards your physical presence;
